Airport Style

Hey guys!

Sorry I have not post since at least a week because I was busy with finals! But I'm back at it and so happy to be doing this travel edition posts! 

Plane/Airport style seems so boring and meanless to most people, but I think it's so important mainly for the comfort and also for looking presentable when arriving! Here are some of my tricks to find the perfect balance between super comfy and civilized!

1.  JOGGERS are trendy right now, wear them! You can find so many pairs that are closer to your body and fits better than just regular joggers! I tend to get cold on a plane so I prefer joggers to leggings!

2. COMFY SHOES. Another trendy item lately? Slip-ons. Get your hands on a pair it's magical! You can also wear sneakers that also are super trendy, but a little less dressy than most of slip-ons (but you can run during your transit if needed)!

Can't go wrong with those right? Nike.

3. OVER SIZED SHIRT are comfy and just work well all day everyday. There is no need to explain this.

4. SWEATER! If you have a long cardigan or poncho, it also works well as a blanket and you can put it on when it's cold and tie it around your waist when it's warmer.

5. Wear darker colours! If you are non-stop eating (like me) you can stain your outfit and if you are wearing white that's all we gonna see.

6. Bring a scarf with you! Not only it will upgrade your outfit, it also double as a blanket! #genius

7. Bring (fuzzy) socks in your carry-on! They are not really chic so just put them on when you take your shoes off because yes, we all take our shoes off.

8. Avoid jewelry or belts when you are traveling because it's just longer at the customs and taking it off increases your risk of loosing it!

9. Keep it simple with makeup! If you are embracing the bare face: good for you girl, if not try to concentrate on your skin (BB cream and a bronzer are light and give you the good amount of natural yet good look. Avoid mascara or liner if you wanna sleep because you'll probs ruin it without realizing it. #naptime

10. If your girls don't need so much support you can give them (& yourself) a break by wearing a bralette or a sport's bra!

11. Stay hydrated and use your plane time to put on hand cream! Cause usually nobody got time for that!

Travel Edition Posts

Hello guys!

Hope your spring is warmer than here!

I  have a little announcement: I'm making a travel edition posts for the next couple of weeks because I am excited for my upcoming getaway + I love prepping and organizing my travel stuff like a freak so you might find AT LEAST a tip or two for your next vacation! STAY TUNED!

I am starting this right away with some random tips!

You should buy your plane tickets between 49 and 57 days before leaving they're at their cheapest.

Avoid nail polish in your suitcase. Seriously.

Don't forget to bring a plastic bag for your dirty clothes or keep one from your shopping spree.

Pack your makeup in order that you put it on in the morning, you won't forget anything. Brilliant.

If you are traveling with family or friends, make a list of things you can split and everybody's luggages will be lighter and emptier ( space for new stuff). If you are travelling alone: get travel size everything!

Yellow Wishlist

If you read my blog, you know I'm obsessed with yellow, also you know I predicted that it would be one of the top colours this spring/summer. And if you did a little bit of shopping, you know I was right! YAAAAAAAAS.

Anyway here is my all yellow wishlist that makes me a little more courageous and patient until summer time (hopefully).

 This yellow sweater is from H&M and it fits perfectly.

 That cute little purse from Gap is a go-to for all those summer nights (sigh)

 That shirt -also from Gap- is perfect to add some colour for any outfit.

 That JCREW vest is all perfect and add that much colour for those colder spring mornings.

Pastel Passion

It seems that pastels are in this spring/summer again and that is pretty cool. I'm not the biggest fan of pastel colours but I do like pastel details. Who did not bought a mint nail polish in the past two years?   Guilty. My favourite pastel colour lately is baby blue. I feel like it is so refreshing and it goes with pretty much anything. Other blue hues? Yes. Opposites colours like yellow or mandarine? Yes. Black and white? Of course. Nudes? YEEEEEES (and it's gorgeous!).

Surprisingly, I have been doing some online (and real life) shopping to find the perfect spring pastel accessories and clothes and I've found some awesome stuff.

 Those elastics are also from LOFT.

 This nail polish is from Forever 21 (and they have so many other hues)!

This mint bucket bag is from JCrew and I can't get over it.

Lord Mortdecai

I saw the movie «Mortdecai» yesterday and I loved it! All the critics are bad but it's usually a good sign for me! I hate pretentious critics that only likes authors movies, to me, if a movie is funny and entertaining it's worth it. Anyway, the characters have a awesome british preppy style and it inspired me so much!

I love preppy style so much (obviously)!

Yellow

As I said in a previous post, my mind is in Miami, and it makes me wanna wear bold colours and fun summer prints. Instead, I'm wearing the warmest clothes I own for the coldest time of the year!

low and I'm pretty sure it's going to be one of the most popular shades this summer! Along with bright pink and cobalt blue.

Yellow is scary for a lot of people because it's not always flattering for the skin tone. Here are my top  tips to wear it and own it! No excuses to not wear it. AWESOME.

1. Wear it during summer time when your skin is darker. Easy right?

2. Add it to your outfit with a accessory like shoes, jewelry or handbag . Shoes & handbags are nowhere near your face, so it does not make you look tired or sick (win/win).

3. You can wear yellow as a part of a print mixed of other colours.

4. Play it casual with denim.

5. OWN IT. yellow on yellow on yellow. (just find the good shade for you).

6. Wear it under the belt, again, nowhere near your pale winter skin.

2014 Best Beauty Finds

I'm very faithful to my beauty products, except I love to try new ones! But I usually go right back to my old ones after!

This particular past year I've discovered new products that are replacing my old ones for good! I thought I should share my 2014 beauty finds with you!

Here is my top five!

1. They're real! mascara by Benefit. (30$)

It is working, for real! Not only I noticed it, but my entourage too.

2. Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster by Clarins. (30$)

Add 3 drops a day to your cream and it gives you a nice tan all year long, plus it looks really natural.

3. HD Microfinish Powder by Make Up Forever. (20$)

It gives your skin a matte and even look and touch, and it's so easy to apply!

4. Arlésienne Gorgeous Lips by L'Occitane en Provence. (18$)

Makes your lips shiny and the smell of it remember me of my grand-mother.

5. Rose gold perfume from Zara. (25$)

Smells good and fresh, still feminine and classic.

Where all my money is going (right now)

It's one of the rare time of the year when Zara is having a sale! And it's way easier now that they ship to Canada (finally!) because there is so many more styles online.

All of this to say I made a wish list (obviously).

That coat + all black everything outfit + hat.

Orange/red lady bag + denim boyfriends + white tee + blue mirrored ray-bans.

Leopard tee + black skinnies + shiny heels.

All white outfit + those color block beauties.

Denim vest: mine been stolen ): so I got this one and I love it! I'm always having an hard time buying denim items because the color of it must be perfect!

Nice boho look for the summer! (Even if it's way too small for my taste).

Prediction: yellow will be everywhere this spring/summer.

Black heels with a metallic twist. YES.
